Document Type: Proceeding Paper

Part of: Serviceability and Durability of Construction Materials

Abstract:

Polymer concrete (PC) was developed in the 1950s. The material became more widely known in the 1970s when it was used for the repair of portland cement concrete. Polymer concrete is significantly stronger and more durable than normal concrete. Reinforcement can include fibers, bars, or mesh. Several innovative applications in precast applications are described.
