Abstract:

A method which automatically identifies aquifer parameters is proposed in this paper. The aim of this investigations is to estimate transmissivities and storage coefficients of unsteady groundwater flow by the inverse analysis on the basis of the observed hydraulic head levels. The key feature of the method is that the parameter identification is carried out using the data on the level of hydraulic head measured at the pumping well points and that the additional observation points are not necessary.
