Abstract:

There generally exist five types of sedimentation problems. These are watershed, stream, reservoir, estuary and coastal problems. At the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's (FERC) the major sedimentation problems at issue are reservoir and stream problems. This paper will discuss generic sedimentation issues that, in part, are sometimes similar to those of other agencies Secondly, the paper will address FERC's special sedimentation issues and some major ongoing sedimentation investigations that are believed to be distinct from that of other Federal agencies.
