Sediment Yield and Accumulation in the Cache River

Abstract:

Sediment data collected in the Cache River basin of southern Illinois were used to calculate the sediment yield from tributary streams draining into a significant wetland area. Sediment data were also collected at the major outlet from the area. The accumulation of sediment within the wetland area was determined by developing the sediment budget from the inflow and outflow sediment data.
