Abstract:

Three items are studied: the equation of the relation between discharge and sediment for small gullies derived by using the theory of river dynamics; the extension of the Nash theory of transient unit hydrograph to the obtaining of the transient unit hydrograph for the sediment transport; the establishment of models of the discharge-sediment response function. The two models obtained can be used to predict the sediment transport process at the outlet of small gullies. The computational results are in good agreement with the obtained data used for verification.
