Abstract:

Faced with a continuing great demand for urban public transportation, the French public authorities have, for several years, been looking for new sources of financing. Concerning urban public transportation, France provides several examples of public/private partnership. The public-private partnership lends itself to great originality in the context of urban transportation, as illustrated by the Greater Toulouse (France) mass transit concession.
