Document Type: Proceeding Paper

Part of: Optimizing the Resources for Water Management

Abstract:

Many local municipalities now require a network analysis for all proposed additions to their water distribution systems. A graphically oriented, user-friendly program is being developed to aid the engineer in these analyses. The program is currently under development, and its initial use will be to model the water distribution system of Brunswick County, North Carolina. After model calibration and validation, it will be used to provide a masterplan for the system improvements to be implemented over the next twenty years to accommodate this coastal county's rapid development.
