Abstract:

This proceedings, Optimizing the Resources for Water Management, contains papers presented at the 17th Annual National Conference that was sponsored by the ASCE Water Resources Planning and Management Division along with many other national and local organizations. The Conference was held on April 17-21, 1990 in Fort Worth, Texas. These papers examine social, environmental, economic, governmental, and inter-governmental concerns in water resources management. Areas related to fish, wildlife, surface water, groundwater, reservoirs, expert systems, geographic information systems, water allocation, hydraulics and hydrology in water resources are discussed within these various contexts.
