Abstract:

During the last five years, the EC's research programme on radioactive waste has focused much of its investigation in the field of HLW management on the source term for geologic disposal. Recent findings on the performance of the near field barrier and their interaction with the borosilicate waste form are presented as well as data concerning the retention of TC and actinides in the near field.
