Abstract:

This paper deals with the design and construction aspects of two pipeline projects in Wyoming. Located in southeastern Wyoming, the Cheyenne Stage II Water Delivery Pipeline consists of approximately 60.7 miles of transmission pipeline ranging from 33-inch diameter to 20-inch diameter steel pipe and approximately 1.8 miles of PVC pipe ranging from 24-inch diameter to 12-inch diameter. The Stage II Water Delivery Pipeline constructed during 1986 through 1988 parallels an existing pipeline constructed 25 years earlier. Pipeline design and construction includes mountainous terrain, six interceptor structures, twenty-two side hill collectors, six railroad and highway borings, and others.
