Abstract:

The owners of aging small hydro plants face a myriad of complex technical, economic, and regulatory challenges as they seek to reliance and prepare their projects for continued operation into the 21st century. This paper presents the highlights of how the New York Power Authority is meeting these challenges as they redevelop their Crescent and Vischer Ferry Hydroelectric Projects.
