Abstract:

A hydrodynamic model is presented for simulation of wetland hydrodynamics. The model incorporates all elements of the hydrologic cycle, such as precipitation, runoff, groundwater seepage and evapotranspiration. The model is based on the St. Venant system of equations along with proper assumptions for water inflows and outflows. The model showed satisfactory agreement when tested with experimental data. A sensitivity analysis is conducted for estimation of the parameters that effect the performance of the model.
