Abstract:

The Institute for Telecommunication Sciences is developing a prototype network to demonstrate the integration of a variety of services and methods for fulfilling Navy shipbuilding requirements. The primary objective is to integrate Computer Aided Design, Interactive High-Resolution Graphics Teleconferencing, and Video Teleconferencing over the same networks. This paper describes proposed architectures at the local area, metropolitan area, and wide area network levels.
