Abstract:
This paper outlines the strategy of university/industry collaboration adopted by the University of Missouri-Rolla in successfully developing its Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) program. This strategy has facilitated the development of a relevant CIM curriculum, establishment of modern CIM laboratory facilities, and the initiation of CIM-related research and consulting activities.
