Abstract:

This is a report of unique computer tools developed for teaching of the design of digital control systems at the University of Wyoming. The real-time components of the laboratory involve a programmable digital filter which may be used as an open-loop filter or a closed-loop compensator and a programmable digital state estimator/controller for implementation of estimated state feedback control strategies. The off-line portion involves a comprehensive design tool 'The Digital Control Designer' which runs on a minimally expanded personal computer.
