Abstract:

The construction process involves a number of procedures which integrate together from the first intention of building the project to the end of the structural cycle. In this study, a discussion of both design and construction phases is presented. The different types, sources, causes and consequences of errors in the building process are discussed. Finally, a computer model based on fuzzy sets for the safety assessment of construction operations is briefly outlined.
