Abstract:

Problems and opportunities for structural engineering research are being addressed in a study by the ASCE Structural Division Task Committee on Structural Engineering Research Needs/Funding. In this paper the objectives of this study are outlined, the progress that has been made is presented and some preliminary conclusions are made by the author.
