Abstract:

In this paper, the discussion is mainly focused on four macroscopic models, recently proposed by Japanese researchers, for predicting ultimate strength of reinforced concrete (R/C) shear walls. Then, the applicability of these models are investigated through the comparison between predicted results by the macroscopic models and analytical results by the finite element method (FEM) or the test results.
