Abstract:

In this paper, the main contents of the guidelines for the application of FEM analysis to the design of reinforced concrete structures are presented. The guidelines were published by the JCI Committee on RCFEM and Design Method. The guidelines are based on the achievement of research works in the Committee. The guidelines consist of explanation of technical terms, scope of application, scheme of analysis, modeling methodology and evaluation of analytical results.
