Abstract:

50 beams of partially prestressed concrete were tested and 82 data of the ultimate shear-strength were obtained. Based on these results, this paper studies the effects of the degree of prestress and the shear span to depth ratio on the ultimate shear strength. The different degree of prestress, shear span to depth ratio and stirrup were considered. The experimental formula of ultimate shear strength and a design formula were proposed.
