Abstract:

This paper describes flow measurements performed by TVA's Engineering Laboratory as a part of absolute efficiency measurements of the two units at the Great Falls Hydro Plant. The flow measurements were performed using a digital, computer-based implementation of the pressure-time (Gibson) method. This paper describes implementation of this method, including test procedures, data reduction techniques, and final results.
