Abstract:

Parallel processing is emerging as an effective approach to large scale structural engineering computations. The papers included in this book cover vibration analysis using a parallel Lanczos method: concurrent nullspace methods for multibody systems; parallel algorithms for structural optimization under dynamic loading; structural analysis; a finite element system, and a finite strip method.

Subject Headings: Finite element method | Dynamic structural analysis | Finite strip method | Dynamic loads | Structural engineering | Vibration | Structural dynamics
