Abstract:

Rehabilitation of urban drainage system is needed in many old European cities. This is in part due to the required structural upgrading of the existing sewerage system. But rehabilitation need is also due to the recent strong community claim for abatement of pollutional loads in receiving streams which will require the use of new technologies. Some experiences in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, France, Denmark are discussed briefly.
