Abstract:

The objective of the study on which this paper is based was to determine the safe performance of several different interior gas piping systems. This paper describes the piping systems considered, construction materials, connectivity and failure modes leading to the development of a leak. Procedures used for collecting failure mode data and estimating the probability of a leak are described. Results of analysis are presented and discussed.
