Abstract:

There are many random parameters which influence creep and shrinkage of concrete. In all of the previous probabilistic studies the parameters are assumed to be mutually independent random variables although many of them depend on each other. The purpose of this paper is to formulate a method of predicting the statistics of creep and shrinkage effect in structures assuming a multivariate normal distribution for the random parameters involved.
