Document Type: Proceeding Paper

Part of: Engineering Hydrology

Abstract:

Restrictions placed on the operation of a well field used for public water supply initiated an investigation to develop management techniques that would maximize utilization of the well field. Management alternatives were identified and then evaluated with the aid of a computer model. Insight to the relationship between the well field, aquifer and nearby river was gained. Two alternatives were found to have potential for extending well field operation while meeting the imposed restrictions.
