Abstract:

Microcomputer software is now available which implements the Soil Conservation Service's recently revised 'Urban Hydrology for Small Watersheds', Technical Release Number 55 (TR-55). This software automates the methods and procedures described in TR-55 for computing runoff volume, peak rates of discharge, hydrographs, and storage retention in small watersheds, especially urbanizing watersheds. Micro-TR55 features interactive, screen-oriented data entry, access via function key to numerous support services, utilization of many special use keys present on IBM-compatible keyboards, extensive use of on-line HELP screens, and the ability to customize the software via user-defined data files. Micro-TR55 is written in compiled BASIC and runs on IBM-compatible microcomputers with 256K of memory.
