Abstract:

This paper presents the approach and results of evaluating adjustable drip/trickle emitters to obtain rating curves. The emitter discharge depends on both system pressure and emitter opening (turns). The tests began at 0. 25 turn and proceed to 2. 5 turns. The pressure was varied from 5 to 40 psi (34 - 276 Kpa). The testing apparatus consisted of 11 tricklers. Each run consisted of three replications. The results showed considerable variance in discharge for pressure less than 10 psi (69 Kpa).
