Abstract:

A stochastic flow-storage/sediment-deposition model was written in BASIC with userfriendly features. It is an augmented version of the FORTRAN program RESSED (REServoir SEDimentation) that was developed earlier, hence given the name BRESSED (Basic REServoir SEDimentation). In this paper, the primary features of the model are described and its use illustrated with the use of data applicable to the Mazar Reservoir in Ecuador, South America.
