Abstract:

The subject of this paper is a revegetation program currently being developed by McClelland Engineers and Cities Services for a five-mile pipeline construction corridor in the Guadalupe Dunes of San Luis Obispo County, California. The purpose of the Guadalupe Dunes Revegetation Program is to provide a comprehensive methodology for the restoration of areas disturbed during pipeline construction to their preconstruction conditions. This goal includes the promotion of reinvasion by native plants and the physical stabilization of areas having steep topography or mobile dunes.
