Abstract:

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection is responsible for implementing environmental policy and administering a regulatory structure based on reliable research and monitoring. The State Quality Assurance Program provides a mechanism enabling the State to administer its programs based on reliable data. The Quality Assurance programs carried out in the department are discussed. Three programs namely laboratory certification program, quality assurance program, and state contact lab programs are described.
