Abstract:

This paper reports on activities between China and the United States involving exchange of technical expertise and project development. The paper focuses on how unified resource development principles can be applied to the Hongshui River Basin in China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It reviews discussion and exchanges of the Tennessee Valley Authority, under the U. S. -China Protocol on Cooperation in Hydroelectric Power and Related Water Resources Management, with China's Ministry of Water Resources and Electric Power over a three year period beginning in 1982.
