Abstract:

The Japanese Ministry of Construction has organized a committee which has been promoting research concerning rationalized concrete dam construction. A part of this research is the work being done on a new method of constructing concrete dams-the RCD-method. This paper describes recent dam construction by the RCD-concrete in Japan. This development was pioneered in the world by the Ministry of Construction.
