Abstract:

There is a growing demand for microcomputer data base systems that can store and retrieve information from the census. However, there is a shortage of software that can perform these functions. CEDAR is a census information system for microcomputers implemented at the Association of Bay Area Governments. CEDAR has facilities that enable the user to easily retrieve, analyze and modify data items from Summary Tape File 3A of the 1980 Census.
