Document Type: Proceeding Paper

Part of: Microcomputer Applications Within the Urban Transportation Environment

Abstract:

Paratransit administrators are keenly interested in ways to improve their collection, management, and reporting of data. Many agencies currently use manual procedures or mainframe computer operations utilizing either time sharing or a consulting contractual arrangement. Current practices are being evaluated to see if the increased capabilities of microcomputers will allow more economical and efficient analysis of data. The research findings presented in this paper are the results of a USDOT/Transportation Systems Center grant.
