Abstract:
The locations of streamlines and equipotentials for two-dimensional flow in the vertical plane normal to a vertical retaining wall can be determined by various methods. Recent extension of the domain of definition of the dilogarithm to the entire complex plane by O. D. L. Strack has permitted the authors to develop an analytic solution describing the flow. This solution compares well with solutions determined graphically.
