Abstract:

In Japan, the utilization of the sea especially in coastal zone has been increased and this tendency will continue in future, because activities on the coastal zone in local areas will be accelerated by the government's promotion measures like a series of fish culture development measures adding to the private sector's activities. A fishing port is expected to change itself into a multi-purpose center which can satisfy the variety of requirements.
