Abstract:

This paper deals with the positive results of public participation in Coastal Zone Management in Florida since 1981 through the orderly method of a State Citizens Advisory Committee. Florida has proved that with thoughtful and thorough preparation advisory committees can be strong, effective, responsible and cost-effective.
