Abstract:

In Humboldt County, California, the City of Arcata has developed an innovative wetland restoration program. The three major projects were funded by the State Coastal Conservancy and consist of the restoration of 118 acres of degraded coastal property to wetlands and adjacent uplands. The projects contain a diversity of habitats and provide recreational and educational opportunities for the city's residents.
