Abstract:

The purpose of this plan is to identify and analyze alternatives for the Los Angeles-Long Beach Harbor Complex for dredging deepwater channels and developing new land area that will serve the projected cargo increases for San Pedro Bay. Continuation of harbor development, important to the anticipated growth of the southwestern and mid-western United States, serves this area's present and future marine cargo needs, energy importation needs and other demands for use of coastal resources.
