Abstract:

The First International Conference on the Impact of Oil Spill in the Persian Gulf was held at the University of Tehran, Islamic Republic of Iran (I. R. I. ), from 20 May to 27 May, 1984. This conference was sponsored by the government of Iran. The conference was unusual, and of significance, not only because of the time at which it was held, but also for its truly international composition and the wide range of issues that was addressed.
