Abstract:

In this paper, alternate optimal solutions of a few example linear programming problems are obtained by using a computer routine developed for the purpose. The routine is capable of generating at least a few, if not all, of the alternate optimal solutions. The program permits the decision maker to select the alternate optimal solution that he desires in terms of the decision variable values or for other non quantifiable reasons.
