Abstract:

This paper presents an overview of techniques for design and application of databases to water related data. The intent is to introduce new concepts to the practicing engineer who has a need to manage water related data for a variety of projects. The concept of a computerized project database is presented as a vehicle for managing data. New tools for working with data are also available including database management systems and interactive query and report languages as well as techniques for designing the project database.
