Abstract:

Sohio has successfully pioneered the development of the Prudhoe Bay reservoir by sealifting prebuilt oil processing facilities from the lower 48 states. The experience thus gained is being used in the development of the Endicott reservoir where much larger modules are feasible. The sealift operation is discussed. Modules and transportation design criteria and logistics are described.
