Abstract:

Small hydro power development integrated with other renewable energy sources is economical. Civil engineering components if suitably selected and designed reduce power development costs considerably. Non-conventional equipment options make the development suitable to local needs. Conventional regulator and control replaced by electronic controls are outlined.
