Document Type: Proceeding Paper

Part of: Water for Resource Development

Abstract:

The hydraulic performance of labyrinth weirs is developed from data obtained from flume studies and site specific models. Using dimensional analysis, an equation for the discharge is developed and the discharge coefficient defined for triangular and trapezoidal planforms. The preliminary design of a labyrinth can be made based on these results.
