Abstract:
Labor is better than it was in the past, and managers must adopt new techniques in the quest for productivity improvement. Management's responsibility has six parts: (1) Be consistent with standards of acceptance and expectations; (2) remove sources of frustration; (3) pay attention to creature comforts; (4) establish direct communication; (5) provide training; and (6) recognize achievement.
