Grout Placement Operations

by Raymond W. Henn,

Part of: Practical Guide to Grouting of Underground Structures

Abstract:

This chapter discusses grout placement operations. The procedures for drilling, proportioning and mixing, and injection used in underground grouting are basically the same as those employed when grouting from the surface, except that access and workspace availability are usually limited. The negative effects of these limitations can be reduced by good advanced planning of the overall grouting operations, careful selection of equipment, and assigning an adequately sized and experienced work crew.
