Groups such as project teams, practice networks, and marketing groups are becoming ever more dispersed and distributed. For example, on a current project for a major water utility, I'm one of 10 consultants assisting the primary consultant. In addition, the primary consultant's technical manager, project manager, and key technical people are in five different locations
