Abstract:

Hong Kong has an extensive network of roads in the New Territories, in Kowloon, and on Hong Kong Island. Road-base public transport includes franchised buses, 16-seat mini-buses and taxis. As such, the road network is supplemented by the Kowloon-Canton Railway (KCR) and the Mass Transit Railway (MTR). It provides an important facility for people travelling between Hong Kong and the Mainland.
